Society for Neuroscience 2018 Poster Award Competition
Alpha MED Scientific is pleased to announce the winners for our Poster Award for the 2018 Society for Neuroscience annual meeting. The winner of the first prize goes to Adam Ravalia at Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John’s, Canada.
Adam is studying alterations in synaptic transmission in Huntington Disease in the Hippocampus, an important brain structure for learning and memory. Specifically, they recorded electrically-induced synaptic activity in the mouse Huntington Disease genetic model Q175FDN and discovered an interesting synaptic anomaly present only in the disease model mice.
